  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or gain unauthorized access to our code or infrastructure
  • Misuse the AI features, including submitting inappropriate, offensive, or confidential personal content

Eligibility and Account Registration

To use Scripture Scanner, you must be at least 13 years old. Users under 18 may only use the Service with a parent or guardian’s consent.

Some features require creating an account using email or a third-party provider (e.g., Apple, Google). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login details and are responsible for all activity under your account.

Subscriptions & Payments

Some features require a paid subscription.

  • Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Stripe, depending on the platform.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID / Google account at confirmation of purchase.

You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time:

  • Apple: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
  • Google: Google Play → Payments & Subscriptions
  • Stripe/web purchases: via the provided billing portal

We do not issue refunds for partial subscription periods or unused time, except where required by law (including App Store rules).

AI-Powered Features

Some functionality includes AI-generated responses. By using these features, you acknowledge that:

  • Generated content may not always be accurate, complete, or aligned with personal or theological views
  • Outputs may vary and should not be treated as professional, medical, legal, or theological advice
  • You remain responsible for content you submit

Do not submit sensitive personal information.

Intellectual Property

All logos, branding, text, AI prompts, and platform content are owned by Scripture Scanner or licensed appropriately. You may not copy or distribute content without permission.

If you upload text, images, notes, or other content, you retain ownership but grant a limited license for purposes of operating the Service.

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as-is” and “as available.”

We do not guarantee:

  • Accuracy or completeness of generated or scanned content
  • Uninterrupted access or error-free performance
  • Theological accuracy or doctrinal alignment

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scripture Scanner is not liable for loss, damages, or harm resulting from the use of the Service.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Illegal or abusive behavior
  • Misuse of our systems or features

You may stop using the Service at any time. Deleting your account will remove your user data from our active systems, subject to our Privacy Policy.

Fair Use

We are committed to making Scripture Scanner accessible and useful for all users. To maintain the quality, stability, and integrity of the Service, you agree to use the app in a fair and reasonable manner. In particular, you agree not to:

  • Engage in excessive, automated, or scripted requests that place an unreasonable load on our systems
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, subscription restrictions, or access controls
  • Use the Service for data scraping, bulk content extraction, or creating competing services
  • Abuse free features (e.g., repeatedly creating and deleting accounts to avoid subscription requirements)
  • Share your account credentials with others for the purpose of unauthorized access
  • Use the Service in ways that interfere with, disrupt, or negatively impact other users

We reserve the right to monitor usage and take appropriate action – including suspension or termination of accounts – that violate these Fair Use guidelines.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance of any updates.
